PR in Australia
Australian buyers check you before they call you, and what they find is Australian. A feature in a US business title does very little for a founder whose customers, referrers and regulators are in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Our Australian network is the largest we run anywhere outside the States, and it goes deeper into trade and regional press than most agencies bother with.

What we cover here, and what we do not
We are straight about the shape of it. Our network runs from Forbes Australia and the Condé Nast and Are Media consumer titles, through a genuinely strong professional-services layer that lawyers, accountants, brokers and advisers actually read, and out into the regional daily papers. We do not place in the Australian Financial Review, The Australian, the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, news.com.au or the ABC. Nobody sells those, and a fee-for-placement offer in any of them is describing something other than what you think you are buying.

Common questions about PR in Australia
How do you get featured in Australian media?
You pick the titles you want from our Australian network, tell us your story through a short questionnaire, and our editorial team writes the feature. Nothing goes live until you have read it and approved it, and we handle the placement with the publication.
Can you get me into the AFR, The Australian or the Sydney Morning Herald?
No, and we would rather tell you that up front. The Australian Financial Review, The Australian, the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, news.com.au and the ABC are not part of our network. No agency can sell you a guaranteed placement in them, and an offer to do so for a set fee is describing something other than what you think you are buying.
Which Australian publications can Publisive place features in?
Australia is the largest network we run outside the United States. It covers Forbes Australia and consumer titles including Harper's Bazaar, Men's Health, Women's Health, Esquire, Variety and Rolling Stone, a deep professional-services layer including Lawyers Weekly, Accountant Daily, Money Management and The Adviser, and more than thirty regional daily and community newspapers from the Newcastle Herald to Queensland Country Life.
Do you have to be an Australian business to be featured in Australian press?
No. What matters to an Australian editor is whether the story means something to an Australian reader. We regularly place founders and businesses based overseas who are entering the market, hiring here, or want to be visible to Australian customers and partners.
Is trade press worth more than a national title for an Australian business?
Often, yes. If you sell to accountants, a feature in Accountant Daily reaches more of your actual buyers than a general news piece would, and it carries more weight with them. The Australian trade titles are unusually well read within their professions, which is why we treat that layer as a strength rather than a consolation prize.
