British press, honestly described

PR in United Kingdom

The UK press has a clear hierarchy, and pretending otherwise wastes your money. The nationals set the agenda; below them sits a large, genuinely useful layer of consumer, lifestyle, tech and business titles that real people read and that rank well for your name.

What we cover here, and what we do not

We are straight about where we sit in that hierarchy. Our UK network runs from The Independent, Elle and Rolling Stone through a broad set of consumer and trade titles. We do not place in The Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian, the FT, the BBC or Sky News, and anyone who tells you otherwise for a modest fee is describing something else.

Publications we place in across United Kingdom

All 28 of them, named. The ones with their own page are linked; ask us about any of the rest.

How it works

Step 1

Pick your market

Tell us which region your customers, partners or investors are actually in. That decides the publication, not the other way round.

Step 2

Share your story

A short questionnaire covers your background, what you do and the links you want included.

Step 3

We write your feature

Our editorial team writes the piece and sends it over for review before anything is placed.

Step 4

Approve and publish

Unlimited revisions until you are satisfied. Nothing goes live without your approval.

Common questions about PR in the UK

How do you get featured in UK media?

You choose the titles you want from our UK network, share your story through a short questionnaire, and our editorial team writes the feature. Nothing is published until you have approved it, and we handle the placement.

Can you get me into The Times, The Guardian or the BBC?

No, and we would rather say so plainly. Those titles, along with The Telegraph, the Financial Times and Sky News, are not part of our network. Anyone offering you a guaranteed placement in them for a set fee is describing something other than what you think you are buying.

Which UK publications can Publisive place features in?

Our UK network runs from The Independent through consumer and culture titles including Elle UK, Rolling Stone UK and Attitude, and on into a broad layer of lifestyle, technology, business and trade titles that rank well for a personal or company name.

Do you have to be a UK company to be featured in the British press?

No. What a UK editor cares about is whether the story means something to a British reader. We regularly place people and businesses based elsewhere who want to be visible to a UK audience.

What is the difference between a secured placement and earned coverage?

A secured placement is a written feature produced to your brief that you approve before it runs. Earned coverage is a journalist deciding on their own that you are worth writing about, which is not something any agency can sell. It is worth asking which one you are being quoted for.

Reach the people who are actually in the UK

Tell us your market and what you want to be known for. We will recommend the publications that fit, and say so if none of them do.
